Hi all,
No idea if we have ever had a Dublin Meetup before, but I have decided to go ahead and organise one.
Since I have no idea what I am doing I am basically stealing Glasgow Dunlop's formula for the Glasgow Meetups and organising it for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon, and having it in a pub with nothing fancy whatsoever! By starting reasonably early, we also hope to cater for people who do not live in Dublin and do not want the expense of having to stay overnight.
I will be in attendance along with Connall Tara from Fly Reckless, and hopefully we will get a few more.
Bowes pub is very close to O'Connell Bridge, and sells good beer and whiskey, so it is a nice place to have a few drinks in relative quiet and is very centrally located.
All are welcome, even you weird people who do not live in a wormhole for some reason. :)

Yep, this is definitely going ahead, and there are rumours being whispered in the dark corners of the internet of more than one castmember of Fly Reckless planning to attend, which would be cool.
Hoping we will have a good turnout, but at this point we have no idea.
Bowes is a cool, old-school pub, but it has a fantastic selection of craft beer and single malt whiskey. It is my local in Dublin.

Hard to say, I imagine it will go on for as long as people want it to. :)
I know there is a rugby game on (Ireland vs Australia) but we have a few tables booked, and we can move upstairs if we need to, but as it stands we have no idea how many people are going to show up.
Myself and Connall should be there from around 1400 on to make sure our tables don't disappear, really looking forward to it.

Just mention the Eve Online thing and you'll be pointed our way. It sounds like we will be right down the back of the pub (unless we move to our own room in the event of loads of people showing up - but we can organise that on the fly)

So with five people on top of myself and Connall despite a packed pub for the rugby, I'm definitely calling this an op success. :)
We will probably look to have another one in early February (give or take) and I'll make sure it is a quiet weekend sport-wise this time - as opposed to just thinking it is and not checking. :)
Thanks to all of you who showed up, our in-game channel is "Fly Reckless" and our public corp channel is "Y790 Public" so you will usually catch us in one of them. I'm in the irish channel as well on most of my alts.
Prophet, can you get everyone to send me an in-game mail so I can organise the contracts?
Also, thanks a lot to Connall for braving the trek from Edinburgh, and I'm hoping to return the favour and head to a meetup in Scotland some time in the New Year.
